Family Medication Monitoring Guide

Kusuri Memo lets you keep an eye on a family member's medication routine from a distance — without needing to be in the same room. The person sharing their records issues a code; the carer enters it and monitors for free.

How the monitoring system works

Monitoring in Kusuri Memo is built around share codes — an 8-digit code the medication tracker generates and shares with their carer or family member. No accounts or sign-up are required on the monitoring side.

  • The person tracking (Premium required): generates and shares the code
  • The carer / family monitor (Free): enters the code to view status
  • The monitor tab is view-only — no dose logging on behalf of others
  • The tracker can revoke access at any time by regenerating their code

Issuing a share code

★ Premium required to issue
  1. Open the Settings tab and find "Share my code".
  2. Your 8-digit code is displayed. Share it with your trusted carer.
  3. Use Quick share (tap an app icon), More (device share sheet), or let them scan the QR code shown below the code.
Anyone who has this code can view your medication records at any time. Share it only with people you trust. To stop access, regenerate the code — the old one becomes immediately invalid.

Entering a code to monitor a family member

Free
  1. Open the Settings tab and find "Enter shared code".
  2. Type in the code your family member gave you and tap "Confirm".
  3. Open the Monitor tab from the bottom menu to see their medication status.

The Monitor tab shows each day's status — taken (green ✓), missed (red ✕), partial (orange —), or pending (gray).

Monitor alert notifications

You can receive a notification when your linked family member's medication status updates.

  1. In the Monitor tab, open the card for the person you are monitoring.
  2. Toggle the "Receive notifications" switch on.
  3. This setting is saved per linked person — you can manage each separately.
Manual refresh on the Monitor page is rate-limited to once every 8 seconds to keep checks stable.
