Thank you for using Kusuri Memo ("this application"). This policy explains how your information is collected, used, and protected.
1. Information we collect
This app stores the following information locally on your device.
- Medicine names, schedules, and dose records
- Notification settings
- Subscription status
- Medication photos (stored on-device only)
For normal free use, medication content and history stay on your device. If server-backed features are enabled, only the minimum data needed for those features is sent.
2. When server-backed features are used
When account-protection restore or monitoring sharing is enabled, the following can be sent to Supabase.
- Share code
- Medicine name
- Dose timestamp
- Dose status
- Encrypted backup payload for restore (medication definitions, dose logs, and monitor-list entries: code/display name/added time)
Monitoring-sharing data is used only for monitoring access. Backup payloads are used only for account restore and transfer safety. Monitor-list removals are propagated to cloud backup. Photo data is not sent. Internal identifiers and state for subscription, sharing, and account protection may also be stored server-side, but these do not include medication photos or medication-content payloads.
The production database is hosted in Japan (Tokyo region) on Supabase.
Explicit consent is required before cloud health-data processing (for example cloud sync/restore) is enabled in any region. Consent can be withdrawn later in Settings.
For shared data continuity and disaster recovery, server side data is mirrored to a second database. The standby project is used for recovery operations and follows the same access-control model.
3. Third-party services
This app uses the following third-party services.
Used for monitoring-sharing synchronisation, encrypted restore backup storage, and cold-standby disaster recovery operations. The production database is hosted in Japan (Tokyo region).
Privacy policy
Used for crash and diagnostic reporting to improve reliability. Reports may include technical identifiers (for example app-instance or device context) needed to investigate failures, and are not used for advertising tracking.
Privacy policy
This app does not use advertising SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs. If anonymous first-party usage metrics are introduced in future, they will remain minimal and exclude medication-content data.
4. Children's privacy
This app is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
5. Data deletion
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data directly within 薬メモ:
- Open 薬メモ on your device.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Delete account and data.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
What is deleted: all medication records, dose logs, cloud backup data (medication definitions backup and monitor-list backup), and your account credentials.
What is retained: a pseudonymised consent record only, kept for up to 5 years as legal proof of confirmed deletion. This record contains no health data and no personal identifiers.
Photo data is stored only on your device and is not affected by account deletion. You can remove photos at any time through your device's photo library.
6. Photo data
Medication photos are stored only on your device and are never uploaded to external servers.
7. Security
We apply technical safeguards to protect data. Monitoring-sharing data is transmitted over encrypted connections.
8. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated. If changed, updates are communicated via app update channels.
