How caregivers use Kusuri Memo
A parent or relative logs their own doses. You check their status from the Monitor tab on your own iPhone — no calls required.
Carers working in the home can review a self-recorded log alongside the person they support, keeping adherence visible and documented.
Bring the log screen to a GP or specialist visit. The dose history provides a clear record without needing to recall dates from memory.
Post-surgery, new treatment starts, or dose adjustments — track adherence closely for a defined period, then step back.
Care homes and home-care teams can review self-recorded logs with consent — a lightweight alternative to paper charts for self-administered medications.
If you live far from the person you support, the Monitor tab provides regular reassurance without requiring daily check-in calls.
Setting up remote monitoring
Remote monitoring uses a share code. The person taking medication issues a code from their phone (Premium required to issue). You enter that code on your phone to start monitoring — free of charge.
Person issues a share code Premium
Open Settings on their iPhone, find "Share my code". An 8-digit code is shown. Share it via message, LINE, WhatsApp, or scan the QR code.
Carer enters the code Free
Open Settings on your iPhone, find "Enter shared code". Type in the 8-digit code and tap Confirm. The Monitor tab becomes active in your bottom menu.
Check status from the Monitor tab
Open the Monitor tab to see today's dose status for each medication. Taken doses show a time stamp; missed doses show ✕; upcoming doses show —.
Enable alert notifications (optional)
In the Monitor tab, open a linked person's card and turn on "Receive notifications". You will be alerted when their medication status changes.
What monitors can and cannot do
Monitors can
- View current dose status for each medication
- Review up to 90 days of dose history
- Enable or disable alert notifications per person
- Monitor multiple people (multiple codes)
- Refresh the Monitor tab manually
Monitors cannot
- Record doses on behalf of the person
- Edit medication names or settings
- Access the person's other app data
- View data without a valid share code
Privacy and access control
Share codes give access to real medication data. Here is how to manage access safely.
- Share selectively: only share the code with people you trust — anyone with the code can view the full dose history.
- Revoke access instantly: tap "Regenerate code" in Settings to issue a new code. Anyone using the old code will be disconnected immediately.
- Biometric protection: if Face ID or Touch ID is enabled under Account Protection, sharing the code and regenerating it require biometric confirmation.
- No account required for monitors: carers do not need an account — just the Kusuri Memo app and the share code.
Common questions from carers
Does monitoring cost anything?
No. Entering a share code and using the Monitor tab is always free. Premium is only required by the person issuing the share code (the person being monitored).
How many people can I monitor?
You can enter multiple share codes to monitor several family members or clients from the same Monitor tab.
How current is the data I see?
The Monitor tab reflects the most recent sync from the person's device. Use the manual refresh button to pull the latest update. Refresh is limited to once every 8 seconds to keep checks stable.
What if the code stops working?
If the person regenerates their code, your connection using the old code will stop. Ask them to share the new code and re-enter it in Settings.
Can I use this alongside a care team?
Yes. Multiple people can enter the same share code — a family member, a home carer, and a district nurse could each monitor the same person simultaneously. The person can regenerate the code at any time to reset all access.
